Biography

I spent my early childhood all over the United States, eventually settling in Eagle River, Alaska.
Immediately after graduating high school, I moved to a very small farming town in central eastern Argentina. This period was transformative because, while talking is my favorite thing in the world to do, I did not speak a word of Spanish. Here, able to form relationships without the use of my vocal cords, I recognized the power of universal themes to connect wordlessly across cultural and linguistic barriers. Of course, I did also learn Spanish, and I speak it near-fluently today. Upon my return to the US, I directed my interest in all forms of communication into an academic and professional exploration.
In August of 2022, I was hired as a producer, editor, and camera operator on the Colorado State University & Barnfly Productions-sponsored documentary An Open Door. In this role, working with professional camera equipment and highly revered subjects, I leapt out of my comfort zone and witnessed a skyrocketing of my skills. The understanding of, and excitement for, well-crafted storytelling that I brought to this project piloted me into leadership positions on nearly all of Barnfly Productions' following endeavors.
I graduated from Colorado State University, receiving the Outstanding Journalism and Media Communication Award and being designated an Honors Scholar. At this point, I left my position at Barnfly Productions to pursue other interests, though never straying far from the eyepiece of a camera. I worked as a raft guide and photographer on the Poudre River in Northern Colorado before purchasing my own camera (a Sony A7IV) and heading back down to South America to rekindle my Spanish and have a bit of an adventure.
This website is intended as a portfolio of my best creative works in storytelling, both professional and personal. I've learned that I'm passionate about a great number of things: traveling, nature, writing, images, people, and I'm not exactly sure how I want to pin all that down into a career just yet. Currently, I'm living in New York City, interning for Park Pictures, where I learn a staggering amount every day. I feel lucky to be in a position where I can pursue a career I'm truly passionate about. I invite you to reach out and see what adventures we can get up to!
