An Open Door is a feature-length documentary detailing the life and impact of animal rights and autism activist Temple Grandin. I helped shoot many sequences featured in the movie, helped set up and run several of the interviews, and was an active participant in the editing process. Shot and edited over the course of eight months, it premieres November 7 and 9 at the Denver Film Festival.
I had quite limited knowledge of Temple Grandin before this project, and am grateful to have had the chance to get to know such a unique and important woman. I also credit this project with accustoming me to professional-level shooting and editing expectations.
